Tile drill bit GEKO M14 12 mm diameter for ceramic and porcelain tiles
Tile drill bit GEKO M14 12 mm diameter for ceramic and porcelain tiles
Diamond core bit for dry drilling with an M14 shank compatible with angle grinders. Designed for drilling precise holes in hard surfaces such as porcelain, ceramic tiles, clinker and glazed finishes. The bit has an outer diameter of 12 mm and a diamond-coated working length of 10 mm; the interior is filled with wax to absorb heat from the diamond layer and reduce overheating during use.
The GEKO M14 12mm tile drill bit provides durable diamond coating suited for hard glazing and dense ceramic materials, while the M14 shank ensures secure attachment to angle grinders. The internal wax filling helps dissipate heat and protect the diamond surface, increasing the tool's service life under dry drilling conditions. Compact 12 mm diameter allows accurate hole making in tiles and porcelain without excessive material removal.
Secure the drill bit in an angle grinder with an M14 thread. Mark the drilling position on the tile and start at low speed to establish a guide point. Apply steady, moderate pressure and keep the tool stable while drilling. Because this bit is intended for dry drilling, avoid using water; pause periodically to allow cooling if the bit becomes hot. Use appropriate personal protective equipment, including eye protection and gloves.
For best results on porcelain and glazed tiles, begin drilling at a shallow angle to create an initial notch, then straighten the tool. Maintain moderate speed and do not force the bit; allow the diamond coating to wear gradually. If high temperatures develop, stop briefly to let the bit cool.
