Drill Chuck 13 mm 1/2" with Key GEKO G00500
GEKO Drill Chuck 13 mm 1/2" with Key G00500 is a keyed drill chuck designed for secure clamping of round and hex shank drill bits. It fits tools with a 1/2" mounting and accepts bits up to 13 mm in diameter. The chuck's keyed mechanism allows positive tightening and good torque transfer for routine drilling in wood, metal and plastic where a dependable mechanical grip is required.
The keyed design provides strong, repeatable clamping force and reduces slippage of bits under load. Compatibility with 1/2" mounts makes it suitable for a wide range of handheld drills and drill drivers. Its simple construction enables straightforward maintenance and replacement of worn components. The 13 mm capacity covers most common drill bit sizes used in general-purpose applications.
Open the jaws by turning the chuck sleeve or using the key, insert the drill bit so it seats centrally between the jaws, then tighten the jaws using the key until the bit is held firmly. Check alignment and re-tighten if necessary before starting the tool. For removal, loosen the keyed chuck until the bit can be withdrawn. Always ensure the tool is powered off and disconnected from power or battery before changing bits.
Regularly inspect the jaws for wear and clean out debris to maintain secure clamping. Apply a small amount of light machine oil to the threaded parts of the keyed mechanism if stiffness develops. Use the correct size key and avoid overtightening to prevent damage to bits or the chuck.
