Wire Cup Brush GEKO G00592 — braided steel, 100 mm (4"), M14 thread
GEKO G00592 wire cup brush is a braided steel abrasive accessory with a 100 mm (4") diameter and M14 threaded arbor designed for surface preparation tasks. It is intended for use with angle grinders and compatible power tools that accept an M14 spindle. The brush is manufactured to remove rust, paint and scale, deburr edges and clean welds efficiently while providing consistent contact with the workpiece.
The braided steel construction provides greater toughness and resistance to breakage compared with loose crimped wire, ensuring stable performance on demanding tasks. Its 100 mm diameter offers a balance between access and coverage for compact and medium-sized surfaces. The M14 thread allows easy and secure mounting on standard angle grinders and many bench-mounted tools. The cup shape concentrates abrasive action at the surface, enabling controlled material removal and smoothing of irregularities.
Mount the wire cup brush on an angle grinder with a matching M14 spindle following the tool manufacturer's instructions and safety requirements. Securely tighten the arbor before operation. Start the grinder at low speed to check balance and runout, then proceed at the appropriate working speed for the task. Hold the grinder with steady pressure and move the brush across the workpiece surface using smooth, controlled passes. Do not apply excessive force; allow the brush's abrasive action to remove material. After use, stop the tool and let the brush come to a complete rest before setting it down.
Wear appropriate personal protective equipment: safety goggles or a full face shield, cut-resistant gloves, hearing protection and a dust mask or respirator if airborne particles are present. Inspect the brush before each use for wire loss or damage and replace it if any deformation or excessive wear is detected. Use the brush only on compatible power tools at recommended speeds; avoid side-loading or prying motions that can stress the braided wires and increase risk of failure.
