Wire cup brush GEKO G00629 for drill, braided steel, 100 mm diameter
Wire cup brush GEKO G00629 for drill, braided steel, 100 mm diameter
GEKO G00629 is a 100 mm diameter braided steel wire cup brush designed for use with standard electric drills. Intended for surface preparation and metalworking, this wire cup brush attaches in a drill chuck and provides aggressive material removal for tasks such as rust and paint removal, deburring, and cleaning weld seams or metal parts. The braided steel construction improves durability and maintains shape during heavy-duty use.
The braided steel wire design delivers high abrasion resistance and extended service life compared with loose-wire brushes. Its cup shape concentrates brushing action on a work surface for effective removal of rust, scale and paint while reducing vibration transfer to the tool. Compatible with standard drill chucks, the brush is easy to mount and replace, offering consistent performance for repeated metal-preparation tasks.
Secure the brush in the drill chuck and tighten firmly according to the drill manufacturer's instructions. Select a moderate to high speed appropriate for the workpiece material; start with lower speed to check brush behavior and increase if needed. Apply steady, even pressure and move the brush across the surface until the desired level of cleaning or deburring is achieved. Avoid excessive side loading and do not use the cup brush on non-metal materials where wire breakage could cause damage.
Use appropriate personal protective equipment such as eye protection, gloves and long sleeves. Inspect the brush before each use for broken wires or deformities and replace if damaged. Keep speed within the drill and brush manufacturer's recommended limits to extend brush life and reduce the risk of wire projection.
