Pipe Threading Die Set GEKO G01002, 6 pieces, for 1/4"–1 1/4" threads
The GEKO G01002 pipe threading die set comprises six individual dies that cover a range of external pipe thread sizes from 1/4" to 1 1/4". The dies are designed to cut or repair standard external threads on steel and other commonly used pipe materials. The set is intended for manual threading using compatible ratchet handles or die stock holders and is suitable for field repairs as well as workshop use where manual thread cutting or restoration is required.
The set provides broad size coverage with six dies in one compact kit, reducing the need to carry multiple single dies. Each die is manufactured to provide accurate thread profiles for reliable mating with standard fittings. The dies are compatible with standard die holders and ratchet tools, enabling quick installation and use without specialized machines. This configuration supports manual control over cutting depth and alignment for repair and maintenance tasks.
Select the die that corresponds to the required thread size and securely mount it in a compatible die stock or ratchet holder following the holder manufacturer's instructions. Clamp the pipe firmly to prevent rotation and start the die square to the pipe end. Apply cutting oil to the die and pipe to reduce friction and improve cut quality. Rotate the die forward with steady pressure to start the thread, then periodically reverse to break chips and clear debris. Continue until the required thread length is achieved, then back off the die and clean the newly cut threads.
Use appropriate cutting oil for the pipe material, keep dies clean and lightly oiled after use to prevent corrosion, and inspect dies for wear before each job. For optimal alignment and thread quality, ensure the pipe end is square and free of burrs. When working on pressurized systems, always depressurize and follow safety procedures.
