Welding helmet GEKO PROFI-EAGLE with automatic filter
Welding helmet GEKO PROFI-EAGLE with automatic filter provides reliable eye and face protection during welding operations. Designed for common welding processes such as MMA, MIG/MAG and TIG, the helmet features an auto-darkening filter that switches from a light to a dark shade when an arc is struck. The clear viewing area and integrated controls support safer, uninterrupted work in workshops and on-site environments while helping reduce eye strain.
The helmet includes an automatic darkening filter with selectable shade levels (DIN 4 for inactive state and DIN 9–13 for active darkening), adjustable sensitivity and delay controls, and a grinding mode for non-welding tasks. A 92.5 x 42.5 mm viewing window within the larger filter housing ensures a broad field of view. Power is supplied by a built-in solar battery supported by two AAA cells for reliable operation. The GEKO PROFI-EAGLE meets relevant safety standards for welding protection, offering a practical balance of visibility, comfort and protective performance.
Before use, inspect the helmet and filter for any visible damage and ensure batteries are installed or the solar cell is receiving light. Adjust the headband for a secure, comfortable fit and set the sensitivity and delay to match the welding process and ambient light conditions. When the arc is struck the filter will switch from the light state to the selected dark shade automatically. Use the grinding mode when performing grinding tasks to prevent unnecessary darkening. After work, store the helmet in a dry place away from direct sunlight to prolong the filter life.
Set the darkening level (DIN 9–13) according to welding current and electrode type; higher currents generally require a higher DIN value. Fine-tune sensitivity and delay to avoid flicker from nearby arcs or spatter. Replace protective front cover lenses if scratched or clouded to maintain clear visibility and consistent filter performance.
