Socket bit GEKO G13007 7 mm 1/4" hex long CR-V (6-point)
GEKO G13007 is a long 6-point hex socket bit with a 7 mm head size and a 1/4" hex shank, manufactured from chrome vanadium (CR-V) steel. It is designed to work with manual bit drivers and powered tools that accept 1/4" bits, providing extended reach to access recessed fasteners and tight spaces. The six-point profile engages flat surfaces of hex fasteners to reduce rounding and ensure reliable torque transfer for general mechanical, automotive and assembly tasks.
The long 7 mm 6-point design combines increased reach with a secure fit on hex fasteners, while chrome vanadium steel construction offers strength and reasonable resistance to wear. The 1/4" hex shank is compatible with standard bit holders and quick-change chucks, enabling fast swaps between bits. The precision-machined 6-point socket reduces slippage and helps maintain fastener edges during repeated use.
Insert the 1/4" hex shank into a compatible bit holder, quick-change chuck or driver. Position the 6-point head onto the hex fastener ensuring full engagement with the flat sides of the bolt or screw. Apply steady torque while maintaining alignment to avoid rounding the fastener. Use appropriate torque settings on powered drivers to prevent over-tightening; when working by hand, use a handle or bit holder that provides sufficient leverage and control.
For best results, select the 7 mm 6-point bit when the fastener has intact flat sides; avoid using worn or damaged bits on critical fasteners. Keep the bit clean and inspect for wear before use. When using powered tools, set torque and speed appropriate to the material and fastener size. Store the bit in a holder or case to protect the tip and extend service life.
