Abrasive Sanding Sheet GEKO 230x280 mm P220, pack options 10/500
GEKO abrasive sanding sheet in size 230 x 280 mm with P220 grit is intended for fine sanding and surface preparation. The cloth-backed sheet provides a consistent abrasive surface for smoothing painted, varnished and wooden surfaces as well as for light deburring of soft metals. Sheets are supplied in pack options indicated as 10/500 for flexible purchase quantities and can be used for manual sanding or with compatible sanding machines that accept flat sheets of this dimension.
The P220 abrasive grain delivers a medium-fine finish suitable for final smoothing before finishing coats or between coats of paint and varnish. A cloth backing increases durability and tear resistance during repeated use or when applying moderate pressure. The standardized 230 x 280 mm size fits many hand sanding blocks and flat sanding machines, enabling uniform contact and abrasion. Cloth-backed construction also improves conformity to contoured surfaces compared with rigid paper-backed alternatives.
Select the P220 GEKO sanding sheet and secure it to an appropriate sanding block or compatible flat machine platen sized for 230 x 280 mm sheets. For manual sanding, apply steady, even pressure and move along the grain on wooden surfaces to avoid cross-grain scratches. For use on painted or varnished surfaces sand gently and inspect the surface frequently to avoid over-sanding. If using a machine, ensure correct attachment and operate at recommended speeds for the substrate to maintain control and prevent overheating of the abrasive.
For best results on wood, progress from coarser to finer grits and finish with P220 for final smoothing. Replace sheets when the abrasive becomes clogged or loses cutting efficiency. When working on painted surfaces, test in a small area first to confirm the desired finish and avoid removing underlying layers unintentionally.
