Sandpaper sheet GEKO G78495 230×280 mm P2000 waterproof (50/1000)
GEKO waterproof sandpaper sheet G78495, size 230×280 mm, abrasive grade P2000 is designed for wet sanding and fine finishing of painted, primed, clearcoated and metal surfaces. The high-grit P2000 abrasive provides very fine material removal to smooth surface imperfections, feather edges, and prepare substrates for polishing or repainting. Sheets are supplied in pack quantities of 50 or 1000 to suit workshop or production use.
The waterproof construction allows consistent performance during wet sanding, reducing clogging and extending sheet life. A uniform P2000 grit distribution ensures even abrasion and predictable results on clearcoats and paint layers. The 230×280 mm sheet size offers compatibility with hand sanding and a variety of sanding blocks, enabling controlled pressure and access to curved or flat panels. Available in bulk pack options to minimize interruptions in professional workflows.
Use the sandpaper wet with clean water or a mild lubricant for best results. Start with light, even strokes using a sanding block or by hand, keeping the sheet flat against the surface to avoid creating low spots. Rinse the sheet and surface frequently to remove swarf and check progress. When smoothing clearcoat or paint, move progressively and inspect the surface under good lighting; finish with polish or finishing compound once the desired smoothness is achieved.
For automotive refinishing, begin with an appropriate coarser grit if required and finish with P2000 for final surface levelling before polishing. Maintain consistent lubrication during wet sanding, replace sheets when abrasive performance declines, and always follow manufacturer safety guidelines including eye and respiratory protection when working with paints and coatings.
