Jump cables GEKO G80044 900A 6 m — heavy-duty battery booster leads
GEKO G80044 900A 6 m jump cables are heavy-duty battery booster leads designed to transfer high starting current between vehicle batteries. The 6 m length provides flexible reach for connecting batteries in various vehicle positions, while the 900A current rating supports starting most passenger cars and light commercial vehicles. Construction focuses on durability and safe electrical contact for repeated roadside use.
These booster leads combine a long 6 m reach with a high 900A current capacity to allow safe connection even when batteries are not conveniently aligned. Heavy-gauge cable and robust clamps reduce voltage drop and improve conductivity during cranking. Insulated handles and reinforced cable sheathing increase mechanical durability and provide protection against abrasion, oil and weather exposure. The product is designed for repeated use and straightforward handling in roadside or workshop conditions.
Position both vehicles so clamps can reach the batteries without stretching or routing the cable near hot engine parts. Switch off ignition and electrical consumers on both vehicles. Connect the positive clamp to the positive terminal of the discharged battery, then to the positive terminal of the donor battery. Connect the negative clamp to the negative terminal of the donor battery, and attach the remaining negative clamp to a suitable unpainted metal ground point on the vehicle with the discharged battery, away from the battery and fuel system. After secure connections, start the donor vehicle, then start the vehicle with the discharged battery. Remove clamps in reverse order once the engine is running and stable.
Inspect clamps and cable insulation before each use for damage or corrosion. Avoid placing cables near moving or hot engine components. Use the 6 m length to route cables safely and maintain firm clamp contact. Store the leads coiled in a dry place and replace them if conductors or clamps show significant wear or deformation.
