Angle grinder GEKO G85230 230 mm, 12 A, 55/550 RPM
GEKO G85230 230 mm angle grinder is a wired power tool designed for cutting, grinding and surface preparation on metal, stone and concrete. Equipped with a 12 A motor and a selectable rotational speed range of 55 to 550 RPM, this grinder accepts standard 230 mm discs and is intended for demanding DIY and professional tasks where sustained power and compatibility with common accessories are required.
The 12 A motor delivers consistent torque for heavy-duty cutting and grinding jobs while the wide speed range allows adjustment to different materials and accessory types. Compatibility with 230 mm discs ensures easy replacement and access to a variety of cutting and grinding wheels. The wired design provides continuous power for extended work without battery swaps, making it suitable for longer jobs where stable performance is needed.
Before use, fit a suitable 230 mm disc rated for the intended material and secure it according to the tool's flange and locking mechanism. Connect the grinder to an appropriate mains supply, check that the workpiece is secured, and select the required speed within the 55–550 RPM range for the task and accessory. Hold the tool firmly with both hands, engage the motor, and apply steady, controlled pressure—avoid forcing the disc into the material. Allow the disc to reach operating speed before contact and maintain safe clearance from bystanders. After finishing, switch off the power and wait for the disc to stop completely before setting the tool down or changing accessories.
Use discs and accessories that match the disc diameter and are rated for the grinder's operating speeds. Wear appropriate personal protective equipment such as eye protection, hearing protection, gloves and respiratory protection when working with metal or masonry dust. Ensure proper ventilation and stable workpiece clamping. For heavy or prolonged work, monitor the tool for overheating and allow cooling periods to preserve motor life.
