Gembird PLA 3D printing filament, 1.75 mm diameter on a 1 kg spool in black, is a polylactic acid (PLA) material designed for general-purpose FDM/FFF 3D printing. The filament offers high roundness and improved melting behavior to support higher printing speeds and consistent extrusion. It is compatible with a wide range of printers and spool mounting systems and is suitable for prototyping, hobby models and functional parts where PLA properties meet application requirements. Spool height is 67 mm, providing a compact format for typical printer spools.
The filament is formulated for reliable feeding and reduced bubbling, delivering vivid and consistent black prints. Improved melt characteristics help achieve stable extrusion at elevated print speeds, while high precision roundness contributes to consistent layer deposition and surface quality. PLA’s low melting temperature and neutral odor make it easy to print on most FDM/FFF machines without special ambient controls. Load the 1.75 mm PLA filament into the filament path according to your 3D printer manufacturer’s instructions. Recommended printing temperature should be set according to your printer and hotend specifications for PLA; begin with a standard PLA range and adjust to suit flow and layer adhesion. Ensure the filament feeds smoothly from the spool and remove any tangles before printing.
