Interface card Gembird CC-U3U2-01 is a compact black internal adapter cable that converts a 9-pin USB 2.0 motherboard header to a 19-pin USB 3.0 connector. With a cable length of 0.3 m, it allows installation inside a PC chassis to provide a USB 3.0 external port where only a USB 2.0 internal header is available. The adapter supports reliable mechanical connection between a motherboard USB 2.0 header and a USB 3.0 connector, offers a compact 0.3 m cable that fits typical PC cases, and comes in a black finish for unobtrusive installation. Power off the PC and disconnect it from mains. Open the chassis and locate the 9-pin USB 2.0 header on the motherboard. Route the 19-pin USB 3.0 connector to the chosen front or rear panel bracket and attach it to the external port or device as required. Close the case and restore power. Use this adapter when an internal USB 3.0 connector is needed but only a USB 2.0 motherboard header is available; for full USB 3.0 speeds, connect devices to a native USB 3.0 header or controller.
