HDMI Female to HDMI Female Adapter GEMBIRD A-HDMI-FF — HDMI F-to-F coupler
GEMBIRD A-HDMI-FF is a passive HDMI female-to-female coupler designed to join two standard HDMI cables to extend signal reach without changing source or display equipment. The compact inline adapter maintains the physical HDMI connection for video and audio transmission and is compatible with devices that use standard HDMI plugs, such as TVs, monitors, projectors and media players.
The adapter provides a simple, tool-free way to extend an HDMI run by connecting two male-to-male HDMI cables together. Its passive design preserves the pin assignments of the HDMI connection and allows uninterrupted transmission of audio and video signals. The small form factor makes it easy to fit into tight spaces behind entertainment centers or monitor mounts, and installation requires no configuration or power source.
This passive coupler does not amplify or equalize HDMI signals, so it may not be suitable for creating very long cable runs where signal degradation or bandwidth limitations occur. It also does not change connector types or support active features such as signal boosting, long-reach extenders, or conversion between HDMI and other signal formats.
To use the GEMBIRD HDMI F-to-F coupler, simply insert the male HDMI plug of the first cable into one end of the adapter and insert the second cable's male HDMI plug into the opposite end. Ensure both cable ends are fully seated to provide a secure mechanical and electrical connection. No software, drivers or external power are required. Verify the connected devices' display and audio settings if the signal is not immediately detected.
For best results, use high-quality HDMI cables and keep total cable length within the recommended limits for your HDMI version. If you plan long runs or require advanced features like HDR or high refresh rates, check cable ratings and consider an active extender or powered solution if signal loss occurs.
