Padlock GERDA KZP40 cast iron 38 mm shackle with 3 keys
Padlock GERDA KZP40 cast iron 38 mm shackle with 3 keys is a mechanical security lock designed for basic closure needs. It features a robust cast-iron body and a 38 mm thick shackle that provides a simple and reliable way to secure gates, sheds, lockers and storage units. Supplied with three keys, the lock uses a key-operated cylinder for straightforward operation and is intended for indoor and limited outdoor use where protection from casual access and theft deterrence is required.
The cast-iron construction offers durability and resistance to everyday wear. A 38 mm shackle diameter improves clearance and fit for a range of hasps and chains while maintaining mechanical strength. Three supplied keys reduce the need for immediate duplication and allow multiple users to operate the lock without sharing a single key. The key-operated cylinder provides a familiar and easy-to-use mechanism that requires no power or electronic components.
Insert one of the supplied keys into the cylinder and turn to retract the locking mechanism, allowing the shackle to open. Place the shackle through the hasp, chain or securing point, then push the shackle into the body until it locks; remove the key to complete locking. To unlock, insert the key and turn in the opposite direction to release the shackle. Keep the keys in a secure place and avoid forcing the cylinder if it resists turning.
For longer life in outdoor or humid environments, limit direct exposure to heavy rain and salt air; consider protective covers or placing the lock under eaves. Regularly lubricate the cylinder with a suitable graphite or silicone-based lock lubricant and operate the key several times to distribute lubricant. Store spare keys separately and inspect the shackle and body for corrosion or damage before each use.
