Nutsert / Blind Rivet Nut GESIPA M6 9×17 mm for 1.5–4.5 mm material thickness
Blind rivet nut GESIPA M6 9×17 mm is a one-sided installation fastener designed to create a load-bearing internal M6 thread in thin materials. The rivet nut body measures 9×17 mm and is suitable for sheet metal, panels and assemblies with material thickness from 1.5 to 4.5 mm. It enables permanent threaded connections where access is available only from one side, simplifying repair, fabrication and industrial assembly tasks.
The blind rivet nut provides a strong, reusable M6 thread without the need for access to the opposite side of the workpiece. Its 9×17 mm body distributes load across the contact area, increasing pull-out resistance in thin materials. The design ensures quick installation with common blind rivet nut tools and delivers consistent thread quality suitable for bolted connections, inserts and component mounting.
Drill a hole of the correct diameter for the 9×17 mm rivet nut body in the workpiece, ensuring clean edges and correct positioning. Insert the rivet nut into the hole from the accessible side, mount the appropriate blind rivet nut tool with the correct mandrel for M6, and compress the nut until the collar deforms and secures against the backside of the material. After setting, release the tool and test the internal thread by screwing an M6 bolt or screw to confirm proper engagement and positioning.
For reliable performance, select drill and tool sizes recommended for the 9×17 mm body and the specified material thickness range. Use a blind rivet nut installation tool compatible with M6 mandrels and apply steady, perpendicular force during setting. Inspect installed rivet nuts for correct deformation and engagement; avoid overtightening mating fasteners to prevent thread damage.
