Place the base station on a desk and register up to six compatible handsets if required. Use the navigation key and clearly labelled large illuminated buttons to access the phonebook, call lists and menu options. Set volume in five steps or press the extra loud key for temporary increased volume; the phone returns to the predefined level after use. Program up to four emergency numbers on the SOS key; when pressed the handset calls stored numbers in sequence and plays a preset emergency text. For the E390A, listen to answering machine messages via the base, handset, or retrieve them remotely when needed.
