How to use

Choose the surface that matches the desired lighting effect: use silver for stronger specular reflection and increased contrast; gold to warm the light and add skin-tone warmth; white for neutral, soft fill; black as a flag to subtract unwanted light and deepen shadows; and translucent to diffuse and soften direct light sources. Hold or mount the reflector opposite the main light source to bounce fill into the subject, or position it close to the light for broader diffusion. When not in use, fold the disc according to the manufacturer’s folding method to reduce it to a compact size for storage and transport.

Usage recommendations

For controlled portrait lighting, combine the white or silver side with a key light positioned at 45 degrees to the subject and use the black side to block spill.
