Grinding Flap Disc Glob LUKAS 125 mm P60 Purple Grain for Angle Grinder
Grinding Flap Disc Glob LUKAS 125 mm P60 Purple Grain for Angle Grinder is a 125 mm lamel flap disc with P60 abrasive grit designed for surface grinding, deburring and finishing tasks on metal and other materials using an angle grinder. The disc fits standard 5" (125 mm) grinders and balances material removal rate with surface finish, making it suitable for general metalworking and fabrication operations where controlled stock removal and consistent finish are required.
The flap disc combines overlapping abrasive flaps on a backing plate to provide even wear, consistent cutting action and a longer service life compared with single-sheet abrasives. P60 grit offers a medium-to-coarse cut that efficiently removes material while leaving a uniform surface ready for subsequent finishing or coating. Its 125 mm diameter provides good access to confined areas while maintaining stability and control on common angle grinders.
Mount the flap disc securely on a compatible 125 mm angle grinder following the grinder manufacturer's mounting instructions. Operate the grinder at the recommended speed range for the disc and material; avoid excessive side pressure and allow the abrasive flaps to do the cutting. Move the disc smoothly across the workpiece to achieve an even finish and prevent gouging. Replace the disc when the abrasive flaps are worn down or when cutting performance decreases.
Use appropriate personal protective equipment including eye protection, gloves and hearing protection. Secure the workpiece before grinding and work in a well-ventilated area or use extraction to control dust. For best results on stainless steel, use light, consistent strokes to minimize heat build-up and discoloration; for heavy stock removal consider progressing from P36 or P60 to finer grits for finishing.
