Desk lamp GLOBO K711L — adjustable drafting desk lamp, model K711L
GLOBO K711L is an adjustable drafting desk lamp designed to deliver focused task lighting for drawing, reading, studying and detailed desk work. The lamp features an articulated arm and adjustable head to position light precisely where needed, providing controlled illumination for home offices, studios, classrooms and workbenches. The design prioritizes functional adjustability and directional light rather than decorative effects.
The articulated arm and swivel head allow precise positioning of the light beam over a work surface, reducing shadows and glare on focused tasks. Solid construction and a stable base or clamp option deliver reliable support during prolonged use. The lamp’s directed illumination improves visibility for detailed tasks such as drafting, model work, sketching and reading.
This lamp is intended for directed, task-focused lighting and is not designed as the primary ambient light source for a large room. If a broad, diffuse illumination is required to light an entire workspace or living area, a combination of ceiling fixtures or wide-area lamps should be considered. The lamp may also lack integrated dimming or smart features if those are required for your setup.
Place or clamp the lamp at the edge of your desk so the articulated arm can reach the desired working area. Adjust the arm joints and swivel the head to aim the light beam directly at the task surface, positioning the lamp to minimize shadows and reflections. Use a suitable lamp bulb or LED module with the recommended wattage and color temperature for the task—cooler light (4000–5000 K) supports detailed work, while warmer light (2700–3500 K) may be preferred for reading. Secure all joints as needed to maintain the angle during use.
Position the lamp so the light falls from above and slightly behind your dominant hand to reduce cast shadows while working. For fine detail tasks, use a neutral to cool white light and verify the bulb wattage does not exceed the lamp’s specification. Periodically check and tighten adjustable joints to preserve precise positioning.
