Goobay 76579 cable gender changer USB-C RJ-45 Black
The Goobay 76579 cable gender changer USB-C RJ-45 Black is a compact USB-C to Ethernet adapter designed to provide a wired network connection where a dedicated RJ-45 port is not available. With a 0.1 m cable and a USB-C straight male to RJ-45 straight female connection, this adapter enables Gigabit Ethernet speeds through a USB 3.2 Gen 1 (3.1 Gen 1) interface and fits into tight spaces such as front panel USB ports or laptops with limited connector options.
This adapter supports full-duplex Gigabit Ethernet (10/100/1000 Mbit/s) over an RJ-45 cable without requiring an external power supply. Thanks to USB 3.2 Gen 1 (USB 3.1 Gen 1) bandwidth, it offers higher transfer rates than USB 2.0-based solutions, reducing latency for online gaming, video calls and streaming. The plug-and-play design eliminates the need for separate driver installation on supported operating systems, while the short, flexible cable keeps the connection neat and avoids strain on device ports.
Plug the USB-C connector into a compatible USB-C port on your computer and insert a standard RJ-45 network cable into the adapter’s Ethernet port. The adapter is bus-powered and ready to use; on supported operating systems Plug & Play will install the necessary interface automatically. If required by the operating system, follow on-screen prompts to complete a driver installation or enable the network interface in system settings. Once connected, verify link speed and network settings in the OS network control panel.
Use a quality shielded Ethernet cable to maximise stability and minimize interference. For sustained high-throughput tasks, ensure your computer’s USB-C port supports USB 3.2 Gen 1 performance and avoid routing the short cable near sources of electromagnetic interference. Disconnect by first disabling the network interface in the operating system before unplugging to prevent data loss.
