The GoPro ABDFM-301 Magenta Dive Filter is designed for use with the Standard Housing to correct color when recording underwater at depths from 15 ft to 70 ft (4.5 m to 21.3 m). It is intended for environments where water appears green, such as freshwater lakes and reservoirs or algae-tinged salt water. The filter ships with a carrying bag and a camera tether and is available in Magenta (also offered in Black as a product variant).

How to use

Press the Magenta Dive Filter into the Standard Housing until it clicks into place to install; no tools are required. Attach the camera tether to the housing or camera for added security and place the filter in the included carrying bag when not in use. Use with your GoPro mounted in the Standard Housing and ensure the filter sits flush to avoid vignetting or light leakage.

Usage recommendations

Use this magenta filter in waters that show a green cast from algae or vegetation and within the specified depth range (15–70 ft / 4.5–21.3 m). Rinse and dry the filter after exposure to salt water and store it in the carrying bag to protect the optical surface. Inspect the filter for scratches before critical shoots to maintain image quality.
