The GoPro Max Lens Mod 2.0 converts compatible HERO cameras into a wide-angle POV system, offering an expanded field of view and advanced stabilization for immersive footage. Designed for HERO13 and HERO12, the mod provides up to a 177° field of view at up to 4K60 and delivers Max HyperSmooth stabilization, Horizon Lock, and improved TimeWarp performance. The accessory is smaller and lighter than the previous version, features a more scratch-resistant hydrophobic lens, and installs and removes without tools. It is waterproof to 16 ft (5 m) when installed on a GoPro; underwater use is not recommended due to possible image distortion.

Advantages

The Max Lens Mod 2.0 offers a substantially wider capture area—up to 36% wider for horizontal footage and up to 48% wider for vertical capture compared with the HERO12 Black wide lens—while maintaining high-resolution recording up to 4K60. Max HyperSmooth provides very strong electronic stabilization across video modes, and Horizon Lock keeps footage level even during full 360° rotations. The lens is more scratch-resistant than the previous model, repels water, supports up to 4× slow motion at 1080p120, and is compatible with HERO13 and HERO12 cameras. Tool-free installation, included protective caps, and a cleaning cloth simplify handling and storage.
