Wireless Access Point Grandstream GWN7661 Wi‑Fi 5 dual‑band 2.4/5 GHz, 1201/573.5 Mbps, PoE, 3x RJ‑45
The Grandstream GWN7661 is an in-wall Wi‑Fi 6 (802.11ax) access point for small-to-medium businesses, offices, hotels, residential and commercial locations. It provides dual-band 2x2:2 MU‑MIMO operation on 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz, a refined antenna design for expanded coverage and higher throughput, three Gigabit LAN ports for wired devices and one uplink Gigabit port with PoE/PoE+, and support for up to 500+ concurrent clients per AP. The device embeds a controller-less management interface and is compatible with GWN.Cloud and GWN Manager for centralized cloud or on‑premise management.
The GWN7661 delivers Wi‑Fi 6 performance suitable for dense environments, offering improved spectral efficiency and lower latency for real‑time applications. Its in‑wall design enables neat, professional installations that provide both wireless coverage and wired connectivity via three Gigabit LAN ports. Built‑in controllerless management plus support for GWN.Cloud and GWN Manager simplifies deployment and administration without requiring separate controller hardware.
Install the GWN7661 into a standard in‑wall electrical box and connect the uplink Gigabit port to a PoE/PoE+ switch or injector to power the device. Use the three Gigabit LAN ports to provide wired Ethernet to IP phones, IPTV boxes or computers. Access the embedded web UI for initial configuration or adopt the AP into GWN.Cloud or GWN Manager for centralized management, firmware updates and policy configuration. Configure SSIDs, security (WEP/WPA/WPA2/WPA3), QoS and captive portal options according to site requirements.
For optimal coverage and performance, place the in‑wall AP in a central location relative to users, avoid physical obstructions near the antenna area, and ensure the uplink supports PoE/PoE+ as required. Use GWN.Cloud or GWN Manager to monitor client load and adjust channel and power settings to reduce interference in dense deployments.
