Gateway Grandstream Networks GXW4232
The Grandstream Networks GXW4232 is a high-density FXS gateway that enables businesses to deploy VoIP solutions while keeping existing analog phones, fax machines and legacy PBX systems. The GXW4232 provides 32 FXS ports and a Gigabit network port, supporting Ethernet LAN speeds of 10/100/1000 Mbit/s and common voice codecs such as G.711 and G.729ab for reliable voice quality. It is designed for rack mounting, includes LED indicators for power and status, and supports standard networking and management protocols including TCP/UDP and HTTP/HTTPS.
The GXW4232 allows seamless integration of analog devices into hosted or on-premise IP PBX networks, enabling cost-effective hybrid deployments that preserve existing telephony investments. Its Gigabit network interface and support for multiple codecs ensure compatibility and stable voice performance across networks. Rack-mountable design and status LEDs simplify installation and monitoring in professional environments.
Install the GXW4232 in a standard equipment rack and connect the Gigabit Ethernet port to your IP network. Connect analog phones, fax machines or legacy PBX extensions to the FXS ports. Configure SIP credentials, codec preferences and network settings through the device web GUI or provisioning system using HTTP/HTTPS. Verify LED indicators and test calls to ensure each port registers and transmits voice traffic correctly.
For optimal voice quality, use a Gigabit uplink and configure appropriate QoS settings on the network to prioritize SIP and RTP traffic. Keep firmware up to date and back up configuration settings before large-scale deployments.
