IP phone Grandstream Networks WP816 blue — wireless handset, 2 lines, TFT 1.8", Wi‑Fi 2.4/5 GHz
Grandstream Networks WP816 is a wireless IP phone handset with a 1.8" (4.57 cm) TFT display and support for two SIP lines. The blue cordless handset operates on both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz Wi‑Fi bands and is compatible with Wi‑Fi standards 802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax. It provides wide codec support including G.711, G.722, variants of G.723 and G.729, and includes common audio processing features such as acoustic echo cancellation (AEC), automatic gain control (AGC), adaptive jitter buffer (AJB), comfort noise generation (CNG) and packet loss concealment (PLC).
The WP816 combines dual‑band wireless connectivity and a compact TFT display in a cordless blue handset designed for SIP telephony. Support for two lines enables handling of multiple accounts or simultaneous calls. Broad codec and audio feature support improves voice clarity and interoperability with VoIP systems. The absence of an Ethernet LAN port focuses the device on wireless deployments and mobile desk or reception scenarios.
Power the WP816 and connect it to a compatible Wi‑Fi network operating on 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz. Register up to two SIP accounts via the device configuration interface or provisioning server according to your VoIP provider or PBX instructions. Use the TFT display to navigate call options, switch between lines and view basic call information. The built‑in speakerphone allows hands‑free conversations when needed.
For optimal call quality, place the handset within stable Wi‑Fi coverage and reduce interference from other devices. Use the 5 GHz band where available for lower interference and higher throughput; fall back to 2.4 GHz where range is prioritized. Ensure your VoIP system supports the listed codecs and enable audio processing features if available on the network to improve clarity in noisy environments.
