Sandpaper Cloth 230 x 280 mm K60 — GRAPHITE 55H875
GRAPHITE sandpaper cloth 230 x 280 mm in grit K60 is a coarse abrasive sheet designed for rapid material removal, shaping and surface preparation. The flexible cloth backing allows conforming to curved surfaces and hand-held use while providing higher tear resistance than paper-backed abrasives. The coarse K60 grit is suitable for removing old paint, rust, and heavy burrs, and for initial shaping of wood and metal prior to finer sanding stages.
The cloth-backed construction improves durability and resistance to tearing during aggressive sanding tasks. K60 abrasive grains offer efficient stock removal and fast cut rates on wood, metal and composite materials. The format 230 x 280 mm is compatible with a range of handheld sanding blocks and can be trimmed to size for machine or detail work. The open-coat structure reduces clogging when working with resinous woods or painted surfaces, maintaining cutting performance over longer use.
Select the sandpaper cloth and cut to the required shape if necessary for your sanding block or machine pad. When hand sanding, apply even pressure and work with the grain on wood or across areas of rust or paint on metal to remove material efficiently. Replace the sheet when the abrasive becomes glazed or torn. For power sanding, ensure the trimmed piece fits securely and that rotation or oscillation speeds are appropriate for coarse grit to avoid excessive heat build-up.
Wear appropriate personal protective equipment including safety glasses, dust mask and gloves. Use dust extraction or work in a ventilated area when removing paint or rust. For best results, start with K60 for heavy removal and progress to finer grits for finishing; test on a small area if surface sensitivity is a concern.
