Rotary tool sanding discs GRAPHITE 55H947 for wood, Ø15 cm, pack of 5
GRAPHITE 55H947 sanding discs for rotary tools are abrasive discs with a 150 mm diameter and K80 grain designed primarily for sanding and surface preparation of wood. Each pack contains five Velcro-backed discs that weigh approximately 68 g per piece and are intended for use with rotary sanding accessories that accept 15 cm discs. The discs feature an E-paper backing and a semi-open aluminium oxide coating that reduces clogging and limits surface heating during use. Perforations in the abrasive allow connection to a dust-extraction system for cleaner operation.
The semi-open aluminium oxide grit covering about 80–90% of the sheet provides efficient material removal while decreasing the likelihood of clogging when working on wood and wood-based materials. Velcro (hook-and-loop) backing enables fast and secure disc replacement without additional tools. The E-paper backing offers mechanical stability during sanding and helps maintain consistent contact with the work surface. Dust-extraction holes improve working conditions by reducing airborne dust when connected to compatible extraction systems.
Select a rotary sander or sanding accessory that accepts 150 mm Velcro discs. Ensure the tool is switched off and disconnected from power before fitting a disc. Align the disc with the pad and press to secure the hook-and-loop attachment. Start sanding at low speed to check compatibility with the workpiece, then increase speed as needed while applying even pressure and keeping the disc flat to the surface. Use the dust-extraction connection if available to reduce airborne particles. Replace the disc when abrasive performance declines or the grit becomes clogged.
For optimal results on wood, use K80 for initial material removal and shaping; follow with finer grits for finishing. Avoid excessive pressure to prevent overheating the surface, and change discs when clogging or wear reduces efficiency. When working with coatings or treated wood, use dust extraction and appropriate respiratory protection.
