Drill bit GRAPHITE 56H401 for wood, 64 mm length, 4 mm diameter, 1 pc
GRAPHITE 56H401 is a single 4 mm diameter drill bit for drilling wood and other soft materials. With an overall length of 64 mm and weighing approximately 4 g, this drill bit is supplied in a blister pack and has a round holder end for use in handheld power drills and drill drivers. It is intended for hammerless drilling and features a 4-bladed pilot tip with a sintered carbide blade and titanium nitride (TiN) coating for improved wear resistance.
The 4-bladed pilot tip improves centring and reduces walking on the workpiece, while the SiC sintered blade combined with TiN coating increases durability and wear resistance compared with uncoated bits. Its lightweight construction and round holder make it compatible with most cordless drivers and drill chucks designed for hammerless operation. Supplied as a single piece in a blister pack, it is convenient to store and replace.
Install the round holder end securely into a compatible handheld drill or drill driver with a chuck that accepts round-shanked bits. Use hammerless drilling mode only; do not use a hammer function. Start drilling at low speed to establish the pilot and then increase speed as appropriate for the material. Apply steady, moderate pressure and allow the coated sintered blade to cut without forcing. Clear chips periodically to avoid clogging and to maintain cutting efficiency.
Use appropriate personal protective equipment such as safety glasses and hearing protection. For best results when drilling wood or plastics, clamp the workpiece to prevent movement and select drill speeds suitable for soft materials. Avoid using the bit in hammer mode or on hard masonry to prevent damage to the cutting edge.
