Drill bit GRAPHITE 56H402, for wood, 5 mm diameter, 64 mm length, 1 pc
GRAPHITE 56H402 is a single 5 mm wood drill bit designed for hammerless drilling in soft materials. With an overall length of 64 mm and a round shank, this drill bit is supplied in blister packaging and weighs approximately 4 g. The 4-bladed design features a pilot tip and a sintered carbide (SiC) blade with titanium nitride (TiN) coating for improved wear resistance. It is intended for use with manual and cordless powered drills and drivers that accept round shanks.
The 4-blade geometry and pilot tip provide stable centring and smoother entry into wood and other soft materials. The SiC blade with TiN coating increases surface hardness and resistance to abrasion, extending the service life compared with uncoated bits. The round shank is compatible with standard chucks on hammerless drilling tools, making the bit easy to install and remove. Supplied as a single unit in blister packaging, it is convenient for small tasks and replacement use.
Fit the round shank of the drill bit securely into the chuck of a manual or cordless driver designed for hammerless drilling. Ensure the workpiece is clamped or held firmly and mark the drilling position. Start drilling at low speed to allow the pilot tip to centre, then increase speed as appropriate for the material. Apply steady, even pressure and withdraw periodically to clear chips when drilling deeper holes. After use, clean any debris from the flutes and store the bit in its blister pack or a suitable holder to protect the coated cutting edges.
Use the GRAPHITE 56H402 only in hammerless drilling mode; avoid using with hammer action. Select drilling speeds suitable for wood and other soft materials, avoid excessive lateral force, and replace the bit if cutting performance declines to prevent damage to the workpiece.
