Drill bit GRAPHITE 56H403 6 mm, 64 mm length, for wood, 1 pc
GRAPHITE general purpose drill bit, 6 mm diameter and 64 mm overall length, is designed for hammerless drilling with cordless drivers. The 4-blade sintered carbide tip features a titanium nitride (TiN) coating for increased wear resistance. The bit has a round shank and is supplied individually in a blister pack. It is intended for drilling 6 mm holes in softer materials such as wood, plastics, aluminium, bricks, ceramics and glass.
The 4-blade pilot tip provides stable centring and smoother drilling in soft substrates. TiN coating on the carbide blades improves durability and reduces wear during repetitive use. A round shank makes the bit compatible with standard chucks on most cordless drivers and the single-piece blister pack keeps the tool protected and easy to store.
This drill bit is intended for hammerless drilling only and is not suitable for use with hammer or SDS hammer modes. It is designed for soft and relatively brittle materials; hard steels, reinforced concrete or masonry requiring hammer action will quickly wear or damage the carbide tip.
Secure the round shank in the chuck of a cordless driver, ensuring a tight grip. Use the drill in hammerless (rotary) mode only. Start drilling at low speed to establish the pilot contact, then increase speed as needed while applying steady, moderate pressure. For glass or ceramics, use low speed and coolant or intermittent drilling to avoid overheating and chipping.
Use in rotary (non-hammer) mode with moderate feed pressure; for brittle materials such as glass or ceramics, drill slowly and use coolant or intermittent drilling to reduce heat and prevent chipping.
