Drill bit GRAPHITE 56H407 for wood, 90 mm length, Ø 12 mm, 1 pc
GRAPHITE 56H407 is a single-piece drill bit designed for drilling in wood and other soft materials. It measures 90 mm in overall length with a 12 mm cutting diameter and weighs approximately 44 g. The bit is supplied singly in a retail blister pack and features a round shank suitable for standard chucks on handheld power drills and drill presses. The 4-bladed pilot tip and TiN (titanium nitride) coated cutting edges improve wear resistance and cutting performance when used with hammerless drilling tools.
The 4-blade design with a pilot drill tip provides stable centring and faster chip evacuation in soft materials. TiN coating increases surface hardness and wear resistance, extending service life under normal woodworking and general-purpose tasks. The round shank allows compatibility with most standard chucks, and the single-piece construction reduces the risk of wobble during rotation. Packaged in a blister for retail, the bit is easy to store and identify.
Install the round shank securely in the chuck of a hammerless cordless driver or drill press, ensuring the chuck grips the shank straight. Use appropriate speed settings for wood and other soft materials to avoid overheating—moderate to high speeds are generally suitable for a 12 mm bit in wood. Apply steady, even pressure and allow the bit to cut without forcing; withdraw periodically to clear chips if drilling deep holes. Do not use with hammer action.
For best results, use the GRAPHITE 56H407 bit for clean-through holes or pilot holes in timber and similar soft materials. Keep the bit clean of resin and debris, and replace if the TiN coating or cutting edges become visibly worn. Secure the workpiece and wear appropriate eye protection during drilling.
