Screwdriver bit GRAPHITE 56H576 — 1/4" drive, PH1, 300 mm length
GRAPHITE 56H576 — 1/4" drive, PH1, 300 mm length is a Phillips (PH1) screwdriver bit designed for use with compatible 1/4" chucks, bit holders and extensions. The bit has a 300 mm working length and a 6.35 mm (1/4") shank, providing extended reach for fastening and removing cross-head screws in carpentry, furniture assembly and maintenance tasks. Manufactured from S2 alloy steel, the bit is made to resist deformation under repeated use and is supplied in blister packaging with a net weight of approximately 78 g.
The S2 alloy steel construction ensures improved torsional strength and wear resistance compared with standard tool steels, reducing tip rounding during prolonged use. The 300 mm length offers access to recessed or deep-set screws without the need for additional extensions, and the 1/4" (6.35 mm) shank fits most common bit holders and quick-change chucks. The precisely machined PH1 tip provides accurate engagement with cross-head fasteners, helping to minimise cam-out and damage to screw heads.
Insert the 6.35 mm (1/4") shank into a compatible bit holder, quick-change chuck or extension bar and secure it according to the holder manufacturer's instructions. Align the PH1 tip with the cross-head screw and apply steady axial pressure while driving or removing the screw at appropriate tool speed. For power tools, select a moderate speed and control torque to avoid over-tightening or stripping the screw head. After use, inspect the tip for wear and store the bit in a dry location to limit corrosion.
Use the bit with appropriately rated holders and avoid applying excessive side load; replace the bit when the tip shows visible rounding. For coated or rusted fasteners, use penetrating lubricant and apply controlled torque to reduce the risk of cam-out or tool damage.
