Screwdriver bit GRAPHITE 56H578 — 1/4" drive, Phillips PH2, 300 mm
GRAPHITE 56H578 — 1/4" drive Phillips PH2 screwdriver bit, 300 mm length, designed for use with 1/4" chucks and bit holders. The single PH2 bit is manufactured from S2 grade alloy steel to resist deformation during prolonged or heavy-duty fastening and disassembly tasks. Supplied in a blister pack, this long driver bit provides extended reach for working with cross‑headed screws in construction, carpentry, furniture assembly and maintenance where access or leverage is limited.
The S2 alloy steel construction provides increased toughness and wear resistance compared with standard tool steels, reducing the risk of tip rounding and deformation. A 300 mm length offers extended reach and improved leverage for deep or recessed screws while the 1/4" drive shank ensures compatibility with common bit holders and quick-change chucks. The PH2 tip profile matches standard cross‑head screw geometry for reliable engagement and efficient torque transfer.
Insert the 1/4" shank of the GRAPHITE PH2 bit into a compatible 1/4" chuck or bit holder and secure it according to the holder manufacturer's instructions. Position the PH2 tip in the screw head, apply steady axial pressure and operate the driver or drill at an appropriate speed and torque setting for the screw and material. For removal, reverse the rotation and maintain firm alignment to avoid cam‑out. Inspect the tip before use and replace the bit if the tip shows significant wear or rounding.
Use the bit with correct torque settings and controlled speed to prolong tip life. Avoid side loading and excessive bending forces on the 300 mm shaft to prevent premature failure. Store the bit in its blister pack or a protective holder to keep the tip free from damage and corrosion.
