Screwdriver bit GRAPHITE 56H580 — 1/4" drive, Phillips PH3, 300 mm length
GRAPHITE 56H580 is a 1/4" drive Phillips PH3 screwdriver bit with a 300 mm overall length and a weight of 78 g, supplied in blister packaging. Manufactured from S2 grade alloy steel, this 6.35 mm (1/4") shank bit provides extended reach for fastening and removal of cross-headed screws in carpentry, furniture assembly and repair work. The bit is designed for use with 1/4" bit holders, chucks and compatible impact drivers, offering resistance to deformation and suitability for prolonged shop or site use.
The PH3 tip is precision-formed to ensure reliable engagement with cross-headed fasteners and reduced cam-out during driving. Made from S2 alloy steel, the bit resists wear and deformation under heavy-duty use and repeated cycles. Its 300 mm length gives improved access to recessed or hard-to-reach screws without the need for extensions, while the standard 1/4" (6.35 mm) hex shank ensures compatibility with common bit holders and quick-change chucks.
Insert the 1/4" hex shank into a compatible bit holder, quick-change chuck or impact driver and ensure it locks securely before operation. Align the PH3 tip with the cross-headed screw and apply steady axial pressure while driving to maintain engagement and minimize cam-out. For removal, run the driver at low speed initially to seat the bit and then increase torque as needed. After use, inspect the tip for wear or damage and replace if the profile is rounded or deformed to avoid screw head damage.
Use this S2 alloy steel PH3 bit for repetitive or heavy-duty fastening tasks; avoid excessive sideways force that can bend the long bit. For impact driving, verify compatibility with your driver and use appropriate torque and speed settings. Store the bit in dry conditions to reduce corrosion risk and replace when tip wear affects performance.
