Drill bits HSS-Co 1.5 mm, set of 5, GRAPHITE 57H012
Drill bits HSS-Co 1.5 mm, set of 5, GRAPHITE 57H012
Set of five GRAPHITE HSS-Co drill bits with 1.5 mm diameter designed for drilling metal and other hard materials. Manufactured from high-speed steel with cobalt alloy (HSS-Co) for improved heat resistance and wear performance, this set is intended for precision holemaking in thin sheet metal, electronic assemblies and small metalworking tasks. The compact set is suitable for use with hand drills and drill presses where small, accurate holes are required.
The HSS-Co composition provides greater hardness and thermal stability compared with standard HSS bits, reducing wear during high-speed drilling and improving tool life when working with stainless steel and hardened metals. The 1.5 mm diameter allows for precise pilot holes and detailing work. Supplied as a set of five, the bits ensure quick replacement and continuous work without delays. The shank size and geometry are compatible with common drill chucks, enabling straightforward installation and stable drilling.
Secure the appropriate drill bit in the drill chuck and tighten to ensure concentricity. Mark the drilling point and, if necessary, use a center punch to prevent bit walking. Start drilling at a low speed to establish the hole, then increase speed as appropriate for the material while applying steady, moderate pressure. For harder metals, use cutting fluid or oil to reduce heat buildup and prolong bit life. Withdraw the bit periodically to clear chips and avoid clogging.
Use proper personal protective equipment such as safety glasses and gloves. Match drilling speed and feed rate to the material—lower speeds for stainless and hardened steels, higher speeds for softer metals. Store the bits in a dry place to prevent corrosion and keep them organized to avoid damage to the cutting edges.
