Drill bit GRAPHITE 7.5 mm cobalt for metal, cylindrical shank (57H044)
Drill bit GRAPHITE 7.5 mm cobalt for metal, cylindrical shank (57H044)
GRAPHITE cobalt drill bit 7.5 mm with a cylindrical shank is designed for drilling stainless steel and other hard metals. The cobalt-alloy cutting tip and high-hardness flute geometry provide improved heat resistance and extended tool life during demanding metalworking operations. The bit fits standard drill chucks and is suitable for use in handheld and bench drills for maintenance, fabrication and industrial repair tasks.
The cobalt tip increases red hardness and wear resistance, enabling drilling at higher temperatures and reducing premature blunting. A precise 7.5 mm diameter and straight cylindrical shank ensure stable mounting in chucks and consistent hole size. The drill geometry promotes efficient chip evacuation and reduces the risk of workpiece heating, making it practical for repetitive metal drilling tasks.
Select appropriate drilling speed and apply cutting fluid when working with stainless steel or other heat-resistant alloys. Secure the workpiece firmly and mount the drill bit in a correctly tightened chuck. Start drilling with light pressure to establish a centered hole, then increase feed evenly while avoiding excessive force. Periodically withdraw the bit to clear chips and reapply coolant if needed.
Use lower cutting speeds and steady feed rates for stainless steel, apply suitable cutting fluid to extend tool life, and avoid excessive side loads that can cause breakage. Inspect the bit periodically for wear and replace when cutting performance declines.
