Drill bit GRAPHITE 57H224 — single-piece general-purpose twist drill
GRAPHITE 57H224 is a single-piece general-purpose twist drill designed for standard drilling tasks in common materials. Supplied as one piece per pack, this drill bit features a spade-style blade profile that improves chip evacuation and reduces tearing of the material surface. The hexagonal quick-change shank is compatible with magnetic holders in cordless screwdrivers, enabling faster bit swaps and stable engagement during operation.
The spade-profile cutting edge increases drilling speed and helps produce cleaner holes with less splintering. The single-piece construction provides rigidity and sustained concentricity for straight drilling, while the hexagonal quick-change shank improves compatibility with a wide range of handheld driver systems. This combination of features makes the bit well suited for occasional replacement or as a spare in maintenance kits.
Secure the drill bit in a compatible magnetic quick-change holder or chuck making sure the hexagonal shank seats fully. Select an appropriate rotational speed for the material: higher speeds for wood and lower speeds for metals and harder composites. Apply steady, even pressure and allow the cutting edges to remove material without forcing the bit. For through-holes, back out occasionally to clear chips and reduce heat build-up. After use, clean chips from the flutes and store the bit dry to prevent corrosion.
Use suitable personal protective equipment, clamp or support workpieces securely, and match drilling speed to the material. For cleaner holes in veneered or laminated panels, consider supporting the exit side to reduce splintering. Replace the bit if the cutting edge becomes dull or if excessive runout is detected.
