Drill bit GRAPHITE 57H230 — single piece, 44 g pack
GRAPHITE 57H230 drill bit is a single-piece wood spade bit designed for rotary drilling in timber and similar materials. Supplied as an individual replacement in a 44 g pack, this bit features a special blade profile that reduces splintering and increases drilling speed. The bit is intended for use with compatible handheld or bench drills and can be fitted into quick-change hexagonal holders for easy attachment to magnetic screwdriver adapters.
The spade-shaped cutting head is profiled to minimize tear-out and to produce cleaner holes in wood. Its design allows for faster material removal compared with conventional flat bits, improving efficiency on repetitive drilling tasks. The hexagonal Quick Change holder enables fast, secure mounting in compatible cordless screwdriver magnetic holders or quick-change chucks, reducing downtime when replacing bits.
Secure the drill bit in a compatible drill chuck or a magnetic quick-change holder with a hexagonal shank. Position the bit perpendicular to the work surface and start drilling at low speed to seat the center of the blade, then increase speed to the appropriate level for the wood type. Apply steady, moderate pressure and withdraw the bit periodically to clear wood chips for deeper holes. Use appropriate personal protective equipment, such as eye protection and dust extraction, when working with timber.
For best results, begin drilling with a pilot mark or center punch to prevent wandering. Select a drill speed matched to the wood density—lower speeds for hardwoods and higher speeds for softwoods—and clear chips frequently to maintain cutting efficiency and prevent overheating.
