Diamond drill bit for porcelain stoneware GRAPHITE 65 mm
Diamond drill bit for porcelain stoneware GRAPHITE 65 mm is a specialist cutting tool designed for drilling precise, large-diameter holes in dense porcelain stoneware and comparable hard ceramic materials. The bit features a diamond-coated cutting edge that improves cutting efficiency and helps produce clean, round holes with minimal chipping when used under appropriate conditions. It is intended for use with compatible drilling machines and is optimized for wet drilling to reduce heat and extend tool life.
The diamond-coated rim provides aggressive but controlled cutting on hard ceramics, delivering accurate hole geometry and reduced breakouts around the hole perimeter. A reinforced body ensures stability and concentricity during operation, limiting vibration and runout. The bit is compatible with standard drilling equipment capable of handling large-diameter core bits and performs best with continuous water feed to cool the cutting edge and evacuate slurry.
Mount the diamond core bit securely in a compatible drill with suitable chuck or arbor. Position the tool at the marked drilling point and start at low speed to establish the cutting track. Apply steady, moderate pressure while maintaining a water feed to keep the cutting edge cool and to remove slurry from the hole. Increase speed only as recommended by the drill manufacturer and avoid excessive force; allow the diamond rim to do the cutting. After completing the hole, retract the bit slowly while keeping the drill running briefly to clear debris.
Use continuous wet drilling and a stable drilling rig or guide when possible. Wear appropriate personal protective equipment, including eye protection and gloves, and secure tiles or workpieces to prevent movement. Avoid dry drilling on porcelain stoneware to minimize overheating and premature wear of the diamond edge.
