Concrete Drill Bit SDS‑Max GRAPHITE 18×400 mm S4 quatro
Concrete Drill Bit SDS‑Max GRAPHITE 18×400 mm S4 quatro
GRAPHITE Concrete Drill Bit SDS‑Max 18×400 mm S4 quattro is a purpose-built rotary hammer accessory designed for drilling reinforced concrete, masonry and natural stone. The 18 mm cutting diameter and 400 mm overall length allow deeper holes for anchor installation, through-conduit drilling and other construction tasks when used with SDS‑Max rotary hammers. The S4 quattro head geometry provides four cutting edges for efficient chip removal and stable, straight drilling in demanding materials.
The quattro four-edge cutting head reduces jamming and improves dust and chip evacuation, which helps maintain drilling speed and accuracy. Hardened carbide tips on the cutting geometry enhance wear resistance and extend service life when working in abrasive concrete and masonry. The SDS‑Max shank ensures secure coupling and reliable power transfer with compatible rotary hammers, while the 400 mm length supports drilling deeper anchor and cable routes without changing to extension rods.
Secure the drill bit into the SDS‑Max chuck of a suitable rotary hammer following the tool manufacturer's instructions. Mark the drilling point and, when possible, start at low rotation to position the bit, then apply steady pressure and use hammering action as required for concrete. Withdraw the bit periodically to clear chips and reduce heat buildup. For through-holes, ensure the exit area is supported or protected to avoid spalling.
Use appropriate personal protective equipment including eye protection, hearing protection and dust mask. Match the rotary hammer to the bit diameter and material conditions; avoid excessive axial force that can damage the bit or tool. For prolonged drilling or very abrasive materials, replace worn bits to maintain efficiency and hole quality.
