Hole saw GRAPHITE 57H907 bi-metal 54 mm
GRAPHITE bi-metal hole cutter with a 54 mm cutting diameter is designed for making precise circular openings in steel, stainless steel, wood, plastics and composite materials. The tool combines a high-speed steel cutting edge with a flexible backing to improve durability and reduce the risk of breakage during use. Supplied as a single piece, it suits installation, plumbing, electrical and HVAC tasks that require clean, accurate holes.
The bi-metal construction pairs toughness and flexibility: a high-speed steel rim provides sharp, wear-resistant cutting performance while the alloy backing reduces brittle failure. Progressive teeth geometry improves cutting efficiency and chip evacuation, resulting in smoother cuts and less heat build-up. Compact 54 mm diameter and single-piece supply make the hole saw easy to install on compatible arbors and convenient for on-site work.
The hole saw is intended for cutting relatively thin to medium-thickness materials; it is not optimal for very thick structural steel or masonry. For prolonged cutting in hard materials, cooling and intermittent cutting are recommended to avoid overheating and premature wear.
Mount the hole saw on a compatible arbor and secure it to a drill with appropriate power and speed range for the material. Mark the centre point and start drilling at low speed to establish the pilot. Use steady pressure and raise the tool periodically to clear chips. For metal cutting, apply cutting fluid or coolant and use intermittent operation to reduce heat. After cutting, deburr the hole edges as needed.
Use moderate speeds, steady feed pressure and cutting fluid for metal applications; keep the teeth clean of accumulated chips and allow the tool to cool between long cuts to extend service life.
