Drill Adapter GTV HT6D491 SDS+ for 110 mm Diamond Core Bit with M22 Thread
Drill Adapter GTV HT6D491 SDS+ for 110 mm Diamond Core Bit with M22 Thread
GTV HT6D491 is an SDS+ adapter that allows connection of a 110 mm diamond core bit with an M22 threaded connection to SDS+ rotary hammer drills. The adapter enables use of large-diameter core bits for wet or dry drilling in masonry, concrete and reinforced concrete where an M22 core bit is required. It is engineered for secure mechanical coupling and straightforward installation, making it suitable for professional and DIY drilling tasks.
The adapter provides a reliable mechanical interface between an SDS+ chuck and an M22-threaded 110 mm diamond core bit, ensuring stable rotation and reduced runout. Its construction supports both wet and dry drilling modes, and it allows users to expand the functionality of common SDS+ rotary hammers without changing the tool. Installation and removal are uncomplicated, enabling quick bit changes on job sites.
Fit the SDS+ shank of the adapter into the rotary hammer's chuck until it locks. Screw the 110 mm diamond core bit with M22 thread into the adapter's threaded interface and tighten securely by hand or with appropriate tools following the bit manufacturer's torque guidance. Select the correct speed and hammer mode on the rotary hammer depending on the material and whether wet or dry coring is used. During wet coring, ensure a continuous water supply to cool the diamond bit and flush cuttings; during dry coring, monitor bit temperature and clear debris frequently.
Use appropriate personal protective equipment (eye protection, hearing protection, dust mask or respirator for dry drilling) and secure the workpiece. For longer bit life and better performance prefer wet coring where feasible, and avoid excessive axial force to prevent bit or adapter damage.
