Concrete Drill Bit GTV Poland SDS+ 8 x 160 mm HT6D209
GTV Poland SDS+ concrete drill bit 8 x 160 mm (model HT6D209) is a percussion drill bit designed for use with SDS+ rotary hammers. With an 8 mm working diameter and a total length of 160 mm, this bit is intended for drilling in concrete, masonry and natural stone. The reinforced tip and shank system enable repeated hammer drilling operations while maintaining accurate hole dimensions for anchoring, dowelling and through-holes.
The SDS+ design ensures quick and secure fitting into compatible rotary hammers and reliable power transfer for percussion drilling. The 8 mm diameter and 160 mm length offer a balance between reach and stiffness suitable for common anchoring and dowel tasks. The bit is made for repeated use in demanding substrates, providing consistent hole quality and dimensional stability during drilling operations.
This SDS+ drill bit is not intended for use in standard drill chucks that do not accept SDS+ shanks; an adapter or compatible rotary hammer is required. It is also not designed for drilling in wood, plastic, or metal where specialised twist or masonry bits for those materials would be more effective. For very large-diameter holes, core drills or larger masonry bits are more appropriate.
Install the bit into an SDS+ rotary hammer according to the tool manufacturer's instructions until it locks in place. Mark the drilling point, start drilling at low speed to create a guide, then apply steady pressure and engage the hammer mode for effective percussion action. Withdraw the bit periodically to clear dust and debris from the hole and to avoid overheating. Use appropriate personal protective equipment such as eye protection, hearing protection and dust mask when drilling in concrete or masonry.
For best results, match the bit diameter to the anchor or dowel specification, use hammer mode in compatible rotary hammers, and periodically retract the bit to clear dust. Replace the bit if the cutting performance declines or if the tip shows significant wear.
