Ultraviolet (UV) camera filter Hama Profi Line UV Nano 40.5 mm is a high-quality 40.5 mm protective filter made from optical lens glass with multi-layer anti-reflective coatings. The NMC16 coating (eight layers per side) and additional nano-coating reduce haze and ultraviolet blue cast, preserve color fidelity and contrast, and protect the front element from scratches, dust and moisture without noticeably increasing the lens front size.

Advantages

The filter features a vapour-deposited multi-layer NMC16 coating on both sides for excellent light transmission and minimal reflections. A nano lotus coating repels water, oil and dirt, prevents misting and makes the surface easy to clean. The metal mount is black anodised with blackened inner edges and an edge sealant to avoid internal reflections and contamination; the ultra-thin, wide construction minimises vignetting and can remain permanently on the lens.

How to use

Screw the Hama Profi Line UV Nano 40.5 mm filter onto the front thread of a lens with a matching 40.5 mm filter thread until it is securely seated. Use the filter as a protective element during everyday shooting; it can remain on the lens permanently. To clean, remove loose dust with a blower or soft brush, then wipe gently with a microfibre cloth or lens tissue. For stubborn marks, apply lens cleaning solution sparingly to the cloth, not directly to the filter.

Usage recommendations
