The Hama Profi Line circular polarising filter 72 mm with Multi Resistant Coating (MRC) is a precision rotary filter designed to reduce reflections, increase colour saturation and improve contrast. Made from high-quality lens glass with multi-layer vapour-deposited coatings and a nano lotus coating, it removes non-metallic reflections from water, glass and plastic, preserves image brilliance and offers simultaneous front-lens protection.

Advantages

The ultra-flat, ultra-lightweight rotary mount allows precise adjustment of the polarising effect without noticeably increasing the lens front. NMC16 multi-layer coating on both sides provides excellent light transmission and anti-reflective performance while the nano-coating repels water, oil and dirt and simplifies cleaning. The mount is made from black anodised metal with blackened inner edges to avoid internal reflections, and an edge sealant reduces soiling. How to use

Screw the filter onto a lens with a 72 mm thread and rotate the front ring to adjust the degree of polarisation until the desired reduction in reflections and increase in contrast is achieved. For best results position the camera at an angle of about 30–40° to the reflecting surface. The effect varies with the rotation angle; rotate slowly while observing changes in sky tone, reflection removal and colour saturation.

Usage recommendations

Use the filter primarily for scenes with non-metallic reflections and when you want deeper skies and richer colours. Clean the filter with a soft cloth and avoid strong mechanical stress; the nano-coating facilitates cleaning and reduces fogging and dirt accumulation.
