Hama UV Filter 390, 67mm Black Camera Lens Filter

The Hama UV Filter 390, 67mm Black Camera Lens Filter is an essential photographic accessory designed for DSLR and mirrorless cameras. Featuring a 67 mm filter size and a durable black finish, this filter serves a dual purpose in outdoor photography. It acts as a reliable protective layer for your valuable camera lens, shielding the glass against dust, scratches, moisture, and fingerprints during daily shooting. Additionally, it functions as an optical tool by blocking ultraviolet rays up to 390 nm, effectively reducing atmospheric haze, eliminating unwanted bluish casts, and preventing unsharpness to deliver clearer, more natural images.

Advantages

This camera lens filter is colour-neutral, ensuring that your original image tones and color reproduction remain completely unaffected by the glass. By maintaining optical clarity, it allows you to capture crisp, well-defined photos in both vibrant color and classic black and white without sacrificing light transmission. The robust black metal mount screws securely onto compatible lenses, providing continuous everyday protection that can remain permanently attached to your lens as a transparent shield against environmental elements and accidental impacts.

Suitable for

• Outdoor photography in bright daylight and open landscapes
• Protecting camera lenses from dust, scratches, and fingerprints
• Reducing atmospheric haze and distant fog in landscape shots
• DSLR and mirrorless camera setups requiring a 67 mm filter thread

When it may not be suitable

This UV filter is not designed to alter exposure levels or manage strong reflections from water or glass surfaces, meaning a dedicated polarizing filter would be required for those specific effects. Additionally, it is physically incompatible with camera lenses that do not feature a 67 mm filter thread size.

Key specifications

• Filter size: 67 mm
• Product colour: Black
• Blocks UV rays up to 390 nm
• Colour-neutral optical glass
• Standard glass quality standard

How to use

To attach the Hama UV Filter 390, align the threaded metal ring with the front thread of your compatible 67 mm camera lens. Gently rotate the filter clockwise until it is securely fastened, taking care not to overtighten. Once mounted, the filter can remain on the lens permanently to provide continuous protection while you shoot. To clean the glass surface, use a soft microfiber cloth or specialized lens cleaning solution to remove dust or smudges safely.

What to consider before purchase

• Verify that your camera lens has a 67 mm filter thread diameter before purchasing
• Assess your primary photography environment to determine if UV filtration and physical lens protection are needed
• Confirm whether you require standard glass quality or advanced multi-coating for specific lighting conditions

Usage recommendations: Keep the UV filter attached to your lens at all times during outdoor shoots to ensure continuous physical protection against accidental scratches and dust accumulation, and clean the glass regularly with appropriate optical cleaning tools to maintain optimal image clarity.
