Paint HAMMERITE Silkemat - black - 250 ml

HAMMERITE Silkemat - black - 250 ml is a ready-to-use metal paint formulated for direct application onto bare or previously painted metal surfaces. The 250 ml container delivers a silk-matte black finish that combines decorative appearance with corrosion protection. The formulation is suitable for maintenance and renovation tasks on gates, railings, radiators and metal furniture where a durable, low-gloss coating is required.

Advantages

This silk-matte metal paint provides both protective and decorative properties in a single product. It is supplied ready for brush or roller application, reducing preparation time. The coating adheres to metal substrates to help resist rust and general wear, and the silk-matte finish minimizes visible brush marks while delivering an even, low-reflective surface. Small volume packaging makes it convenient for touch-ups and smaller projects.

Suitable for

• Gates and metal fences
• Railings and balustrades
• Radiators and heating elements (external surfaces)
• Metal garden furniture and outdoor fittings
• Maintenance, renovation and spot repairs on metal surfaces

Key specifications

• Finish: silk-matte (low gloss)
• Color: black
• Volume: 250 ml
• Application method: brush or roller
• Surface compatibility: bare or previously painted metal
• Primary properties: decorative coating and corrosion protection

How to use

Ensure the metal surface is clean, dry and free from loose rust, grease or old flaking paint before application. For best results, remove heavy rust by wire brushing or sanding and degrease the area if necessary. Stir the paint thoroughly in the can before use. Apply HAMMERITE Silkemat with a brush or roller in thin, even coats; allow adequate drying time between coats as indicated on the product label. Avoid application in wet or very cold conditions. Clean tools with the appropriate solvent after use.

Usage recommendations

For optimal corrosion resistance and an even finish, apply on suitably prepared metal and consider using two thin coats rather than a single thick coat. Test a small hidden area first if applying over an unknown existing coating.
