Corner Square Helios‑Preisser 20 x 13 cm model 0375410, metal carpentry/bench square
Helios‑Preisser corner/bench square model 0375410 is a metal carpentry and bench square with blade dimensions of 20 x 13 cm. The rigid metal construction provides a reliable 90° reference for marking, checking and aligning edges in woodworking, metalworking and general workshop tasks. Designed for bench use, it helps establish perpendicular lines, verify squareness of assemblies and assist in layout work on workpieces and machine tables.
The metal body ensures durable, stable contact with work surfaces and resists deformation during normal workshop use, maintaining accurate right angles. Its compact size makes it easy to position on small workpieces or to carry in a tool kit. The flat blades provide clear edges for scribing and visual alignment, and the solid construction is suitable for repetitive checks and routine squaring tasks.
This corner square is intended as a basic, robust 90° reference and is not a precision inspection standard for high-accuracy metrology laboratory work. It may be less convenient for very large-scale layouts where longer blades or specialized adjustable squares would be more efficient. The fixed-size blades limit its direct use on very large panels without supplementary straightedges or guides.
Place the square so one blade bears firmly against the reference face of the workpiece or machine table while the other blade aligns with the side to be checked or marked. Hold the square flat to avoid rocking and use the blade edge as a guide for scribing, pencil marking or visual alignment. For checking squareness, press the square against the reference face and observe any gaps or light showing at the joint; rotate the workpiece or repeat on the opposite face to confirm results. Use clamps or a stop where needed to keep the workpiece steady during marking or checking.
Store the square on a flat surface or hang it in the workshop to avoid bending. Clean chips and debris from the blade edges before use to maintain accurate contact. For routine checks, compare against a known reference or use with a straightedge when working on larger surfaces.
