Adapter AV HERTZ AK268A — 3.5mm jack to dual 3.5mm jack, black
The HERTZ AK268A AV adapter converts a single 3.5mm male jack into two 3.5mm female jacks, providing a compact and practical solution for splitting an audio output. Designed in black with an inline form factor, this adapter allows two headphones or two auxiliary inputs to share one audio source without the need for electronic processing. It is compatible with portable players, smartphones, car audio systems and home audio equipment that use standard 3.5mm connections.
The adapter offers a simple mechanical split of an analog stereo signal into two outputs while maintaining a small, unobtrusive profile suitable for on-the-go use. Its passive design requires no power, and the 3.5mm connectors provide broad compatibility with standard headphones and AUX cables. The inline construction reduces strain on the source connector compared with bulky Y-cables, and the black finish integrates unobtrusively with most devices and interiors.
Insert the 3.5mm male plug of the adapter into the audio output of your device. Plug each headphone or AUX cable into the two 3.5mm female sockets on the adapter. Audio will be split passively between the two outputs; volume control and signal level remain governed by the source device and connected headphones. No power or configuration is required.
For best results, use headphones with similar impedance and sensitivity to achieve balanced volume between the two outputs. Avoid heavy tension on the adapter or source connector and disconnect by holding the plug rather than pulling the cable. Do not expect independent volume control for each output—use a headphone amplifier or splitter with active control if separate volume management is required.
